Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and oversee the annual budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Administrative Oversight:
- Coordinate administrative functions such as record-keeping, filing, and correspondence.
- Implement and maintain efficient office procedures and workflows.
- Oversee facility management, including maintenance, security, and utilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Human Resources:
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for administrative and support staff.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and training programs.
- Manage payroll and benefits administration.
- Address employee relations issues and ensure compliance with labour laws.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial and administrative strategies.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in finance and administration within the education sector/ in the relevant markets where the school operates.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a liaison between the school and external stakeholders, including vendors, regulatory agencies, and community organizations.
- Communicate financial and administrative policies and procedures to staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is desirable.
- Previous experience in financial management and administration, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the school.
The candidate must be bilingual (English, Dutch). Fluency in French is an asset.
