Key requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification;

• Passion and commitment for inspiring through teaching and learning;

• Solid knowledge of the foundation phase in line with the relevant curriculum;

• The ability to build on and develop existing best practice knowledge;

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills;

• interested in contributing and working towards the future development of the school;

• flexible, positive and open-minded;

• willing to share ideas and work closely with our team of dedicated, enthusiastic professionals;

• Work permit in Italy or EU passport;

• Moher tongue or equivalent level of English required for this role

The school

Founded in 1999, the Bilingual European School (BES) is the first bilingual school in Milan. It is a Paritarian Primary and Secondary School with Italian and native English-speaking teachers that has been offering a cutting-edge educational approach for years. The Bilingual European School is the natural continuation of the British American Pre-School (BAPS), a "full English" preschool and kindergarten school founded in 1987. The Full Immersion English Programme at BAPS is carefully designed to ensure that children begin their scholastic and personal journey that will accompany them toward goals, satisfaction and success, providing them with knowledge and skills for a smooth transition to the BES bilingual programme.
