We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced General Science Teacher with a strong background in international teaching. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about teaching and learning and thrives in a multicultural and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach middle and high school Science courses, ensuring the delivery of engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons;
• Teach classes in IGCSE and /or MYP (dependent on experience);
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning;
• Assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to encourage academic growth;
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that caters to the diverse learning needs of students, using differentiated teaching strategies;
• Encourage a growth mindset and develop students' passion for mathematics, helping them build essential skills for their future academic and professional endeavours.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department and across the school to share best practices and resources.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A Bachelor's degree in Science or a closely related field. A Master's degree or further qualification is preferred;
• Teaching certification, with preference given to those with an IB Science teaching qualification or experience;
• Proven experience teaching;
• Good knowledge of the IGCSE and MYP curricula;
• Strong understanding of the principles and practices of inquiry-based learning and assessment in the IB system.
