O Castro British School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join our team:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Computer Science, including programming, algorithms, data representation, and systems architecture.
- Teach across KS3–KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (e.g., AQA, OCR).
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the integration of new technologies.
- Support extracurricular computing activities, such as coding clubs or competitions.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- C1/C2 level of English.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and relevant exam boards.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS).
