Agora Andorra International School is a private school located in the heart of the Pyrenees. We are currently looking to appoint a Boarding School Monitor to oversee and manage one of our boarding houses.
✅ The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Education, Psychology, Physical Education (INEF), or a related field.
- Proven experience in boarding schools, residential environments, or similar settings, with significant experience working with adolescents.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally managing teams in a residential or educational context.
- Fluent spoken English (minimum C1 level).
- Native level of Spanish.
- A dynamic, proactive, and nurturing personality with a strong ability to lead, motivate, and support both students and staff.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a rotation schedule.
- Availability to commence in September 2026.
📌 Main responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the boarding house, ensuring a safe, structured, and positive living environment for students.
- Supervise and engage with students during assigned shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Provide pastoral care and promote students’ wellbeing, personal development, and respectful behaviour.
- Monitor students’ routines (wake-up, study time, meals, bedtime) and encourage responsibility and independence.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of boarding house rules and policies.
- Support communication with the academic team by reporting relevant information about students’ behaviour, welfare, and concerns.
- Help organise and supervise activities such as sports, social events, outings, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Respond to incidents appropriately, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are reported to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, incidents, daily logs) as required.
- Work collaboratively with the boarding team, following guidance from the Head of Boarding or Houseparent.
