We are seeking to recruit a full-time Compliance Officer to join our growing team at PASCAL International Education.

Requirements
- Developing, reviewing and maintaining compliance-related policies, practices and standards, as well as setting up the compliance department to ensure the organisation operates in full alignment with legal and regulatory requirements
- Preparing and maintaining compliance reports as required by the group, local board, local authorities and other related governing bodies
- Conducting internal compliance audits and risk assessments, to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions
- Setting the required standards and overseeing the process of collecting and storing personal data of students, parents and employees in line with the GDPR policy
- Ensuring alignment with legal requirements related to Private School Law, as well as the respective regulations issued by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth
- Handling all matters related to building permits and other compliance-related matters, coordinating with the board, local authorities and external consultants when necessary
- Developing, maintaining up to date and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, in compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as the requirements of the group
- Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments across all school campuses and equipment to identify potential hazards, safety risks, and compliance issues and preparing the related reports, in cooperation with the Health & Safety coordinator of each school
- Coordinating with the individuals responsible for Health and Safety matters in every school / city, as well as external partners to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards (i.e. for evacuation, emergency procedures, fire drill, first aid, food and beverage checks, etc.)
- Responding promptly to health and safety concerns, emergencies, and incidents, providing assistance and support to affected individuals including the Health & Safety coordinator of each school
- Ensuring that all members of staff are well educated and informed about the Health and Safety procedures in cooperation with the designated Health & Safety coordinator of each school
- Acquiring any other duties assigned by the management and are related to the activities of the Compliance Department
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Law, Occupational Health and Safety, or a similar field
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the field of compliance
- Health and Safety at Work Officers Training Certification will be considered as an advantage
- Knowledge of relevant compliance laws (i.e. Cypriot health and safety legislation, building and fire safety codes, labour laws, regulations, industry standards and data protection laws and practices) will be considered as an advantage
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments and schools
- Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
- Strong decision-making capabilities and attention to detail
- Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly excel and data analysis
It is noted that the location of work will be the headquarters of PASCAL International Education and regular travelling to the groups’ different locations across cities will be required.
