We are seeking a qualified and experienced Drama and English Teacher across our Key Stage 3 and IGCSE curricula.

This is a full-time position for a teacher who can deliver the subject in an innovative and effective manner. The candidate must demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of the demands of IGCSE examinations in Drama, ensuring that students are very well prepared to take these and any entrance requirements for their next phase of education.

Previous IGCSE Drama teaching and experience with organizing school theatre productions are preferred. Teaching allocation for the position will be mostly in

Drama in KS3 and IGCSE but will also include an assignment of English classes appropriate to the background and experience of the successful applicant.

This position will suit flexible, enthusiastic, international and well-qualified candidates who can develop, maintain and stimulate pupils’ curiosity, interest and enjoyment in the subject, and instil a love for Theatre.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in the subject of teaching;
  • Full secondary teaching qualifications;
  • Proficiency in English and other language/s;
  • Excellent understanding of the demands of IGCSE examinations in Drama.

  • Differentiated Instruction: Cater to the diverse needs of students by implementing differentiated instruction strategies, ensuring that all learners make progress.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and supports the emotional well-being of students.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in business & economics education.
  • Parent Communication: Collaborate with parents to provide regular updates on students' progress and communicate any concerns or achievements.
  • Extracurricular Activities: May have the opportunity to participate in or lead extracurricular activities related to business & economics, or other areas of interest.
