We are seeking to recruit a full-time Financial Controller to join our growing team at Education Group OLYMPION.

Job Requirements

  • Overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the Accounts department, ensuring all daily financial transactions and activities are carried out accurately and in a timely manner
  • Developing and managing the organisation’s financial plans, including annual budgets, strategic business plans, and cash flow forecasts, to support decision-making and financial stability
  • Ensuring all financial records are recorded systematically and accurately in accordance with legal, regulatory and organisational standards
  • Monitoring existing accounting processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Overseeing debtor collections and purchasing processes, including the reconciliation of accounts, to ensure timely payments and accurate records
  • Preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and performance analyses, to keep stakeholders informed about financial status and progress
  • Acting as the primary contact for external auditors, coordinating the annual audit process and ensuring the provision of required documentation and information
  • Handling the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing the timely payment of all taxes
  • Preparing and executing the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely submissions
  • Providing guidance and support to the team members, ensuing that high standards of accuracy and compliance are maintained
  • Demonstrating the ability to prioritize task and multitask, as well as to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines
  • Performing additional tasks and responsibilities related to the role that may arise as required by the Top Management Team of the organisation


Qualifications and Skills

  • Holder of ACA, ACCA, CPA or similar qualification
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics and Finance or in any other relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a related role
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, VAT and tax compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly excel and data analysis
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
