We are seeking an experienced and passionate Global Head of Safeguarding to lead and oversee the safeguarding policies and practices across our global network of schools. The successful candidate will ensure that all students are protected from harm and that our schools maintain the highest standards of child protection and welfare.

This is a remote role with flexible location based in Europe, with regular international travel required.

Reporting to the Chief Education Officer, the Global Head of Safeguarding will assume the following responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor safeguarding policies and procedures across all Globeducate schools.

• Provide expert advice and support to regional safeguarding leads, school leaderships teams and staff members on safeguarding issues.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with Globeducate’s safeguarding standards.

• Collect and analyse group-wide data to identify trends and produce quarterly safeguarding reports that highlight key findings and recommended actions.

• Lead training programmes for staff on safeguarding practices and child protection.

• Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance safeguarding measures.

• Investigate and respond to safeguarding concerns and incidents.

• Promote a culture of vigilance and proactive safeguarding within the organization.

• Stay updated on global best practices and legal requirements related to safeguarding.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelor's degree and relevant qualification in Education (Post-graduate, Master's, or Doctorate level) and/or Social Work.

• Extensive, recent experience in safeguarding and child protection in schools, or social, health or child protection services, including a proven track record in developing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures across different contexts

• Extensive knowledge of local, national, and international legislation and guidelines to understand best safeguarding practices

• Experience in delivering training programmes on safeguarding practices to staff and other stakeholders

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and external agencies

• Ability to conduct thorough investigations into safeguarding concerns and incidents

• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop appropriate safeguarding measures

• Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

• Proven leadership skills to guide and support a team in implementing safeguarding practices

• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
