Head of International Section
We are seeking an ambitious, strategic and forward-thinking Head of International Section to lead the continued development and growth of the school’s international provision.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen the academic, pastoral and operational excellence of the International Section within one of Portugal’s leading international school environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high standards of teaching and learning, fostering a vibrant international community and supporting the school’s long-term vision and growth.
Key Responsabilities
- Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the International Section
- Drive excellence in teaching, learning and student outcomes across the section
- Support and develop staff through effective leadership, coaching and performance management
- Promote a positive, inclusive and high-achieving learning environment for all students
- Work closely with school leadership to implement the school’s vision, priorities and improvement plans
- Oversee student wellbeing, pastoral care and safeguarding within the International Section
- Build strong relationships with students, parents and the wider school community
- Ensure compliance with curriculum, assessment and accreditation requirements where applicable
- Contribute to student recruitment, retention and the continued growth of the International Section
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience in educational leadership, school management or leading academic programmes
- A strong understanding of international education and curriculum delivery
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to inspire staff, support students and drive continuous improvement
- A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student wellbeing
- Experience within an international school environment is highly desirable
