Agora Andorra International School is a private international school located in the heart of the Pyrenees. We are currently seeking to appoint a History & English Teacher for the DP and Secondary stages starting September 2026.
✅ The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in History, English, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Secondary Teacher Training (Máster en Formación del Profesorado), PGCE, or equivalent.
- Advanced level of English (C2/native/bilingual).
- Spanish is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching History and/or English at secondary level (preferably in international contexts).
- Experience with IB MYP and/or IB DP is highly desirable.
- Valid work permit to work in Andorra/European Union.
- Availability to start with us in September 2026.
📌 Main responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high‑quality History and English lessons aligned with IB MYP and DP frameworks.
- Foster critical thinking, academic writing, inquiry-based learning, and international‑mindedness.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, external examinations, and key IB requirements.
- Differentiate instruction to support a diverse range of learners.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom climate that promotes respect, autonomy, and active participation.
- Use a variety of methodologies, digital tools, and resources to enhance learning.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress following IB and school assessment policies.
- Collaborate with the Humanities and Languages departments to ensure curriculum coherence.
- Communicate regularly and constructively with families regarding student progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, professional development, and whole‑school initiatives.
