Agora Andorra International School is a private school located in the heart of the Pyrenees. Our principal objective is to educate our students to be multilingual, responsible, ethical, and capable young people, with the motivation to succeed in all areas of their lives. Our school offers full linguistic immersion and excellent educational standards, and we are authorised to teach the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) at Post 16 level. Moreover, we have excellent boarding facilities for international students.

We are currently looking to appoint a House Parent Lead to oversee and manage one of our boarding houses.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Education, Psychology, Physical Education (INEF), or a related field.
  • Proven experience in boarding schools, residential environments, or similar settings, with significant experience working with adolescents.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally managing teams in a residential or educational context.
  • Fluent spoken English (minimum C1 level).
  • Native level of Spanish.
  • A dynamic, proactive, and nurturing personality with a strong ability to lead, motivate, and support both students and staff.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a rotation schedule.
  • Availability to commence in September 2026.

📌 Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of a boarding house, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
  • Act as the main residential leader, supervising and coordinating the work of boarding staff/house monitors.
  • Promote students’ wellbeing, personal development, and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate closely with the academic team regarding students’ progress, behaviour, and welfare.
  • Uphold and enforce boarding house policies, encouraging responsibility, independence, and positive habits among students.
  • Plan, organise, and oversee a wide range of activities, including sports, wellbeing initiatives, excursions, workshops, and social events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians, ensuring clear and regular communication.
  • Manage incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up aligned with safeguarding policies.
  • Oversee residential shifts, including evenings and weekends, ensuring adequate staff coverage.
