Agora Andorra International School is a private school located in the heart of the Pyrenees. We are currently looking to appoint a House Parent Lead to oversee and manage one of our boarding houses.
✅ The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Education, Psychology, Physical Education (INEF), or a related field.
- Proven experience in boarding schools, residential environments, or similar settings, with significant experience working with adolescents.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally managing teams in a residential or educational context.
- Fluent spoken English (minimum C1 level).
- Native level of Spanish.
- A dynamic, proactive, and nurturing personality with a strong ability to lead, motivate, and support both students and staff.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a rotation schedule.
- Availability to commence in September 2026.
📌 Main responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of a boarding house, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
- Act as the main residential leader, supervising and coordinating the work of boarding staff/house monitors.
- Promote students’ wellbeing, personal development, and pastoral care.
- Collaborate closely with the academic team regarding students’ progress, behaviour, and welfare.
- Uphold and enforce boarding house policies, encouraging responsibility, independence, and positive habits among students.
- Plan, organise, and oversee a wide range of activities, including sports, wellbeing initiatives, excursions, workshops, and social events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians, ensuring clear and regular communication.
- Manage incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up aligned with safeguarding policies.
- Oversee residential shifts, including evenings and weekends, ensuring adequate staff coverage.
