We are currently seeking to appoint a Maths & Science Teacher for the Secondary stages (MYP), starting September 2026.
✅ The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree in Mathematics, Sciences (Biology, Physics, Chemistry), or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree in Secondary Teacher Training (Máster en Formación del Profesorado), PGCE, or equivalent.
- Advanced level of English (C1/C2/native/bilingual).
- Spanish is an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Maths and/or Science at secondary level, preferably in international contexts.
- Experience with IB MYP is highly desirable.
- A valid work permit to work in Andorra/European Union.
- Availability to start in September 2026.
📌 Main responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Maths and Science lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
- Guide students through inquiry-based learning, experimentation, scientific method processes, and problem‑solving tasks.
- Foster critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and scientific literacy through hands‑on activities and real‑world applications.
- Teach key competencies such as data analysis, modelling, scientific investigation, and conceptual understanding.
- Integrate technology safely, ethically, and effectively, in line with IB values.
- Assess student progress following MYP criteria and school assessment policies.
- Maintain a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment.
- Work closely with the Maths & Science department in curriculum development, planning, and vertical alignment.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student learning and progress.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
