Agora Andorra International School is a private school located in the heart of the Pyrenees. Our principal objective is to educate our students to be multilingual, responsible, ethical and capable young people, with the motivation to succeed in all areas of their lives. Our school offers full linguistic immersion and excellent educational standards, and we are authorised to teach the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) at Post 16 level. Moreover, we have excellent boarding facilities for international students.

We are currently looking to appoint a new MYP Coordinator (Middle Years Programme of the International Baccalaurate).

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or any related field
  • Master's Degree in Secondary Education (Máster de Formación del Profesorado/CAP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in secondary education.
  • In-depth knowledge of the MYP framework, including its pedagogical principles, assessment methods, and administrative requirements.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and/or Spanish (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Ability to provide pedagogical support and professional development to teaching staff.
  • IB training or certification (preferably, but not essential).

These are the main responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the Secondray Stage team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Secondary Stage, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and support faculty development initiatives to enhance teaching practices, curriculum delivery, and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with other school leaders to maintain coherence and alignment across all educational stages.

• Curriculum Development and Implementation:

  • Ensure the effective implementation of the IB MYP framework, maintaining fidelity to the IB's philosophy and standards.
  • Work closely with subject coordinators and teachers to develop, review, and refine curriculum documents, assessments, and instructional materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the delivery of the curriculum, providing guidance and support to enhance student learning outcomes.

• Student Support and Well-being:

  • Champion a student-centered approach to education, promoting academic rigor, inquiry-based learning, and holistic development.
  • Collaborate with the Student Services team to provide comprehensive support services, including academic counseling, career guidance, and pastoral care.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that nurtures the social, emotional, and cultural well-being of all students.

• Community Engagement:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders, fostering open communication and partnership.
  • Organize and participate in events, workshops, and conferences to promote the school's mission, values, and educational philosophy.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the Primary Stage, representing the school in local, national, and international forums as required
