We are seeking to recruit a full-time Nursery and Kindergarten Lead (for ages 0-3) to join our growing team at PASCAL Nursery and Kindergarten, Lemesos Hills, as we embark on an exciting new chapter with the opening of our new setting in September 2026.

Role Overview

The Nursery and Kindergarten Lead is responsible for the overall supervision and smooth operation of the setting, ensuring high standards of care, safety, learning, and wellbeing for all children. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, lead staff, ensure implementation of the educational programme, and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies.

In line with operational needs and local requirements, the post holder may also undertake duties as one of the childcare practitioners within the setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth and effective daily running of the Nursery and Kindergarten
  • Oversee operations, staffing, and implementation of the highest child care standards
  • Allocate duties and responsibilities to staff and monitor/coordinate their work
  • Manage staff matters, including absences, substitutions, induction, and daily deployment
  • Prepare staff calendars, schedules, timetables, and relevant handbooks
  • Work closely with the Compliance Officer and Health and Safety Coordinator
  • Work closely with the Admissions Team to support enrolment and retention
  • Liaise with parents/guardians regarding children’s wellbeing, development, and milestones
  • Conduct welcome meetings with prospective and current families and actively promote the setting
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
  • Work closely with the Safeguarding Team to uphold safeguarding standards
  • Oversee the school building, resources, and materials, identifying needs and placing orders where required
  • Liaise with government departments, public authorities, and other relevant bodies
  • Prepare and lead staff and coordination meetings
  • Support recruitment, performance management, and professional development of staff in collaboration with the People & Culture Department
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Director


Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should hold qualifications in one or more of the following areas:

  • Infant Care
  • Childcare
  • Social Work
  • Psychology
  • Education / Pedagogy


In addition:

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership or managerial role within an Early Years or educational setting will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent command of the English language and fluency in Greek are essential; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
