We are seeking to appoint a School Librarian who will lead our Learning Resource Centre and support students and teachers across all IB programmes.
📘 Your Role:
As a School Librarian at Agora Sant Cugat, you will inspire a culture of inquiry, academic integrity and reading engagement for learners of all ages. You will work closely with teachers, IB coordinators and school leadership to ensure students have the skills, resources and guidance needed to become independent and ethical researchers.
**Main Responsibilities
- Manage and curate the school’s physical and digital collections, ensuring access, quality and relevance.
- Support teachers in planning units and projects by providing resources and inquiry-based strategies aligned with the IB philosophy.
- Teach students information literacy skills: research techniques, source evaluation, citation and ethical use of information.
- Promote reading engagement through activities, events and initiatives for all age groups.
- Serve as the school’s reference point for academic integrity and collaborate on related policies and procedures.
- Maintain fluid and proactive communication with teaching staff, IB coordinators and school leadership.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Library Science, Information Management, Education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the IB philosophy and pedagogy; experience in educational settings is highly valued.
- Strong competencies in information literacy, digital tools and collaborative work.
- High level of English and Spanish (C1 preferred).
- A strong commitment to inquiry-based learning, academic honesty and student support.
- Valid work permit for Spain/EU.
- Immediate or near-term availability.
