We are seeking to recruit a full-time Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join our growing team at PASCAL Private Kindergarten and Primary School Lemesos City Centre, as we launch our new school in September 2025.

Requirements

  • Inspire and support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities to reach their full potential
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and empathetic learning environment that promotes self-confidence, independence, and personal growth
  • Maintain open and supportive communication with parents and guardians, for following up on their child’s progress and goals
  • Collaborate closely with academic and support staff to communicate pupils’ needs based on specialist evaluations and ongoing observations
  • Observe classroom teaching (Learning Walks) to ensure individual strategies are being applied effectively
  • Advise and guide teachers and parents on strategies to support SEND pupils both in school and at home
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records for each SEND pupil, including electronic files, observations, evaluations, in collaboration with class teachers
  • Adhere to all school policies, including those on safeguarding, health and safety, equal opportunities, and data protection
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the management of the school

Minimum qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Primary Education
  • Postgraduate Degree in Special Education
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
