We are pleased to invite applications for the role of Primary German Teacher (part-time) for the upcoming academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team, passionate about inspiring young learners and fostering language acquisition from an early age. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction in German, helping students develop linguistic skills and cultural awareness.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant university degree related to German language studies (e.g., German Studies, Translation and Interpreting – German, or similar), or degree in Primary Education or equivalent qualification enabling teaching in Primary education.
- Additional qualifications in language teaching or a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training (MAES/PGCE) will be valued.
- A high level of German (C1–C2, native or bilingual).
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student-centered learning.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- Experience teaching Primary students will be valued.
Responsibilities:
- Teach German to Primary students, delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
- Plan and deliver inclusive learning activities adapted to different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the language curriculum within the department.
- Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development activities.
